About The Journal
Ò̩PÁǸBÀTÀ: LASU Journal of African Studies is an annual multidisciplinary journal. Its focus is on the publication of latest scholarly papers within the context of international best practices. The journal spans over three decades.
The journal encourages submissions of high quality, original papers which have not been submitted elsewhere and covers the field of Yoruba, English Studies, History, Linguistics, Communication Studies, Philosophy, Religious Studies, Theatre Arts and Music. Important issues in other disciplines like Education, Social Sciences, Management Sciences, etc., are also welcome.
The journal calls for well researched and incisive scholarly papers for publication. Manuscripts should be written in clear Yoruba or English language and should not exceed 4000 words or 15 pages, including References, typed in MS Word format in 12-pt font size, Times New Roman and 1.5-line spacing.
The paper should be accompanied with an abstract of not more than 200 words and a maximum of five keywords arranged in alphabetical sequence. The front page of the paper must contain the title, names, phone number, email address and institutional affiliation of the author.
Tables and figures should carry titles, relate directly to the text and be easily comprehensible. References should be spelt out and listed in alphabetical order at the end of the paper using APA or MLA manual citation style.
